What our patients have to say about us...

“For the past five or six years, since our move to Kelso, we’ve been delighted with the quality of all the work done at The Gentle Touch practice.  Appointments scheduled are very much kept to time, and yet the practice is only too helpful if there’s a sudden emergency; a loose crown, a lost filling or whatever. The system of six-monthly check-ups works well, and appointments can generally be scheduled for the hygienist on the same day.

In the past year, I’ve had a couple of implants, and the whole process, from early consultation through to completion, was handled very efficiently; with carefulness and practical explanations.  My dentist, Amber Aplin, has a welcoming manner and the necessary artistic skill to make the final result seem both comfortable and convincing.

I’m delighted to recommend the practice to anyone who wishes the most professional of service allied to the aim to get things absolutely right for each patient.”

Initially, I was very nervous about the prospect of having implants to restore the gaps caused by previous extractions.  However, I felt better with the support received by Amber in tandem with the support from Vermilion. My mouth feels so much better now and all my teeth feel stronger with the support of the implants.

Being able to have follow-up appointments and treatment in Kelso will also save me the trips up to Edinburgh (see our news page for further information). I feel I have been very well supported throughout the process by Amber and her team at the Kelso dental practice.  They have a friendly and professional approach which put me at ease throughout my treatment.”

“I joined The Gentle Touch one year ago.  Walked into the practice and was greeted by friendly and welcoming receptionists.

Having had a couple of appointments with the hygienist at The Gentle Touch, I have been made to feel relaxed throughout and did not feel any pain or discomfort.  During my first appointment with Robyn, I was given information about cleaning between my teeth as well as my toothbrushing technique, which I had never had from my previous dentist/ hygienist.  At my last visit with her, she said that she could see a noticeable improvement in my gums.

On seeing Amber for my examination, she confirmed this, saying my mouth was in a better condition than it had been 6 months previous. I think the information given to me has been fantastic and very useful to my dental health.”
